Who We Are

New Leaf Triangle is a Community Interest Company (cic)  - not for profit, that provides a fun, supportive, stress-free,  natural  learning environment to help individuals  of all ages  to  ‘grow’ and cope with life’s challenges. At New Leaf we use positive approaches including building on individuals’ strengths and creating positive relationships and emotions, all of which promote happiness, wellbeing and self-belief.

We can meet the needs of children, young people and adults with autism, behaviours that challenge, learning difficulties, ADHD,  social emotional and behavioural difficulties, and a wide range of mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder and dementia.

Placements are flexible and tailored to each individual.  Staff work on a ratio of 1:1 with students to outcomes that are agreed between all parties - often around confidence building, self-esteem, and peer relationships; helping young people to re-engage with education through fun and stress-free activities.  Placements are usually between half a day a week, up to 2.5 days per week.

Our 2.5 acre site is located in a beautiful, countryside location, near the market town of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. We are a licenced riding establishment (no. RE009) and licenced camp site with Melton Borough Council.  Although this is not a secure site, our boundaries are well-fenced to minimise the risk of students absconding. We have a large, carpark area which can accommodate up to 10 cars. in 2018, we opened another site a short walk away where we complete vocational activities, horseback archery and alternative education.

Facilities include three heated log cabins with a small kitchen and seating areas, toilet & shower facilities, natural sensory room, steel barn with large internal stables, additional wooden stables, an all-weather manege, feed shed and animal pens, play paddock and several horse paddocks.
